Its Christmas Eve.

Snow lays deep.

Folk asleep.

 

Father Christmas.

He’s back in town.

Finds a chimney.

Then climbs down.

 

Little children.

Eyes tight shut.

Santa steps from chimney.

Brushes off the soot.

 

But there’s one wee mite.

Chances a peep.

Santa commands,

“Go to sleep”.

 

Magic.

 

Child’s eyes shut tight.

Asleep. Out like a light.

Santa smiles.

 

Off he goes.

Where too next?

Its a secret.

Nobody knows…..
